"Matendou Sonata" is a 20-volume shoujo manga by Amagi Sayuri that ran in Princess magazine in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Despite having bishounen with wings, it never gained as much of a following as, say, "Earthian" or "Angel Sanctuary." That may be because of the art style, or it may be because it was never animated. Nevertheless, it's a very sweet manga that I just love.
